People’s Choice Award: “Best Yorkshire Experience”
Our People’s Choice Award is voted for by members of the public and gives you the opportunity to nominate your favourite venue, accommodation provider, restaurant or bar, event, theme park, tourist attraction or experience in the Yorkshire area. We are giving the public of Yorkshire the chance to vote for their favourite establishment or attraction and look forward to reading your entries!

Best Self-Catering Accommodation Award
Open to all providers that offer the best in self-catering accommodation across the Yorkshire region. We want to hear about the hidden gems where owners go above and beyond to make their guests feel welcome from the initial booking process through to arriving on site, and ensure they are well catered for during their stay.
Accessible & Inclusive Tourism Award
Recognising a tourist attraction, venue, or holiday centre that has been designed to be inclusive for visitors. Whether it’s accessible for wheelchair-users, has quiet zones, or maybe has dedicated staff on hand to help those that find it challenging being somewhere new, we want to hear about it!
Hotel of the Year
Whether it is big, small, historic, modern, boutique, luxury or spa, this award recognises hotels which provide an exceptional customer experience, a wide range of facilities and excellent catering options to ensure guests have the most comfortable stay.
Taste Award
Culinary delights are often a key focus for many when deciding where they will visit next. Whether it’s a coastline with the best seafood, a rural destination with the very best home-grown produce, or maybe even a Michelin star awarded chef, this award recognises the must-visit locations to tempt the taste buds.
Event of the Year
This award recognises all providers of truly memorable and immersive events for visitors to enjoy and participate in around the Yorkshire region. We want to hear about the very best Yorkshire tours, events and experiences.
Best Pub or Brewery Award
We are on the hunt for pubs or breweries that attract tourists to Yorkshire, whilst also serving great food that can be washed down by a variety of interesting beers. You might be dog or family friendly, have a fabulous outdoor area or televise important sporting events. Whoever you are, we want to hear from you!
Sustainable Tourism Award
This award recognises the locations, attractions and accommodation providers that keep sustainability practices at the core of everything that they do, ensuring that our favourite tourist attractions, accommodation and venues are preserved for generations to come and are doing their bit for climate change.
Dog Friendly Accommodation or Attraction of the Year
Dogs have always been seen as man's best friend, so it's only right that they get to enjoy a holiday or day trip to remember as well. This category recognises all accommodation providers, venues and Yorkshire attractions that don't just accept dogs, but warmly welcomes them!
Holiday Park or Campsite of the Year
From glamping and teepees, to caravans and camping sites, there has never been as wide a range of accommodation for sleeping under the stars. We are looking for Yorkshire's best caravan parks, campsites or camping experiences...., whether it’s an incredible location, excellent facilities and/or just a welcoming and helpful approach from the site owners.
Tourist Attraction of the Year
We are seeking nominations from any Yorkshire based places of interest which attract tourists from wide and far. We want to hear about the top museums, galleries, historical sites, theme parks and zoos, as well as the region’s hidden gems!
Outstanding Customer Service Award
Open to any tourism business, event or venue that puts the customer at the heart of everything they do. Who has gone above and beyond to make sure their customers had an experience/holiday that they will never forget?
B&B or Guest House of the Year
This award is to celebrate Yorkshire’s most loved B&B’s or Guest Houses that go over and above when providing their guests with a unique, personal service, excellent local knowledge, comfortable rooms and fabulous breakfasts!
Kids First Award
We want to hear about locations, venues, accommodation providers and attractions where kids and family come first! Which top sites go above and beyond to make sure that the whole family has a holiday or visit that will never be forgotten?
Newcomer of the Year
This award recognises any new tourism business which is performing well, has a great knowledge of the sector, is attracting customers and providing an excellent service. Any location, venue, accommodation provider or tourist attraction in Yorkshire can enter as long as they have been trading for less than 2 years.
Outstanding Contribution to Tourism
This award will recognise an individual, a project, a team or a company who have demonstrated the utmost commitment to the tourism industry. We are looking for entries which can show they've made a substantial difference through the time, thought and effort they have invested in supporting the local tourism industry. The entries might have had to adapt and develop over the years to stay relevant and overcome challenges to really stand out from the crowd.
